Peter Hetherston Lived In Kirkwood/Coatbridge
Peter was the youngest of nine. His Wife was Nette McCormack Hetherston.Nette and Peter also had 10 children, 6 sons and 4 daughters.
They also had 19 grandchildren.
Peter pased away very quickly at Monkland Hospital after a short illness.
Peter was a character in his own way. He was well knowen around Coatbridge, and knowen around a few other places like Glasgow, Edinburugh ect.
For he would have travelled anywhere for work.
And most of all he was well knowen all over Irland as it was his Hometown.
He made alot of friends through his years, by passing through the pubs and giving out cheak.. And he enjoyed to go to the pubs in Coatbridge Main St. and have a bit of banter with All his friends Like Pat Lennon, Big Jack, Wee Frank and All the others. But in his last cuple of years he just drank in his sons pub: Silky's With is old friends, Pat mcGurk, Jimmy Richie And John Mooney.
God took you to his kingdom not very long ago,
He gave us time to tell you how much we loved you so,.
He stoped your pain and suffering, and gave you peace at last.
There are rocky roads ahead of you,
and many hills to climb
but together we can do it,
taking one day at a time.
Through The Years of Peter's life and Death he was Loved, Cared for, and Looked after by his loving friends and family.
Uncle Peter
Hi Uncle Peter
Just a quick visit to say how very very sad we all are to lose your grandson Mark. I know you, Auntie Netty and the rest of the family will be waiting for him with your arms open wide and you will take care of him. Please please can you all look down on Annette, Sandy, Christopher, Matthew and Natalie and give them the strength and courage they will need to get throught this dreadful time. It was far too soon for Mark to leave. We will all remember his cheeky quips and his cheeky laught as he rode around on his bike. Thats the way I will want to remember him. God love him, he didnt deserve to go the way he did. We can only pray he didnt suffer. I know you will all be so pleased to see him but the heartache left behind for his Mum Dad and family is too much to bear. They need you all to guide them and be with them.
Ask God to Bless them all. x
When someone loses someone
We tell them not to cry
That life will still go on
Without a reason why
If god were to come from heaven
And see a lone tear fall
I know he’d say that it’s ok
And it’s the love that we recall
God wants us to remember
All the good times that we shared
Tears don’t erase the memories
They remind us that they are there
So don’t stop yourself from crying
Over someone that you love
As long as you remember
That they are safe now up above

For My Uncle
He Is Gone
You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

When we lose a loved one
Our world just falls apart
We think that we cant carry on
With this broken heart
Everything is different now
You're upset and you're annoyed
Your world it seems is shattered
There's such an awful void
There's got to be a reason
And we have to understand
God made us and at any time
Hell reach down for our hand
There might not be a warning
We won't know where or when
The only thing were certain of
Is well meet them once again.
Anon
You've just walked on ahead of me
And I've got to understand
You must release the ones you love
And let go of their hand.
I try and cope the best I can
But I'm missing you so much
If I could only see you
And once more feel your touch.
Yes, you've just walked on ahead of me
Don't worry I'll be fine
But now and then I swear I feel
Your hand slip into mine.
FOR MONDAY
Everyday in some small way,
Memories of you come our way,
Though absent, you are always near,
Still missed, loved, always dear.
FOR TUESDAY
We who love you, sadly miss you,
As it dawns another year,
In our lonely hours of thinking,
Thoughts of you are ever near.
FOR WEDNESDAY
Always a smile, instead of a frown,
Always a hand, when one is down,
Always true, thoughtful and kind,
Wonderful memories they left behind.
FOR THURSDAY
No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God can tell us why.
FOR FRIDAY
Our memories build a special bridge
When loved ones have to part.
To help us feel we're with them still
And soothe a grieving heart.
Our memories span the years we shared,
Preserving ties that bind.
They build a special bridge of love
And bring us peace of mind.
FOR SATURDAY
I thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday
And days before that too,
I think of you in silence
I often speak your name
All I have are memories
And your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake
With which I’ll never part
God has you in His keeping
I have you in my heart.
FOR SUNDAY
If tears could build a stairway,
And memories were a lane,
We would walk right up to heaven
And bring you back again.
Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you
No one can ever know.
But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more.
To remember all the happy times,
Life still has much in store.
Since you'll never be forgotten,
We pledge to you today:
A hallowed place within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay.
But Not Forgotten
I think no matter where you stray,
That I shall go with you a way.
Though you may wander sweeter lands,
You will not forget my hands,
Nor yet the way I held my head
Nor the tremulous things I said.
You will still see me, small and white
And smiling, in the secret night,
And feel my arms about you when
The day comes fluttering back again.
I think, no matter where you be,
You'll hold me in your memory
And keep my image there without me,
By telling later loves about me.
Dorothy Parker
Little did we know that morning
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
In my heart your memory lingers,
Always tender, fond & true;
There’s not a day, dear Uncle Pete,
I do not think of you.
**
We are sad within our memory,
Lonely are our hearts today,
For the one we loved so dearly
Has forever been called away.
We think of him in silence,
No eye may see us weep
But many silent tears are shed
When others are asleep.
